“The best family show since Matilda.”
The Guardian
“The Lorax himself is a beguiling puppet with a fat fringed moustache expertly and expressively manipulated.”
Daily Mail
“The real star of the show is undoubtedly its eponymous hero. A puppet operated by a team of three, the hangdog beast looks like a cross between Yoda and a schnauzer and is thoroughly winning.”
Time Out
“His copious yellow moustache deserves a Best Supporting Actor nomination. I suggest the Lorax himself signs with a top agent and waits for the offers to flood in.”
Evening Standard

Based on the book by Dr. Seuss
Adapted by David Greig
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
The Once-ler discovers a valley filled with wondrous Truffula Trees, Swomee-Swans and Humming-Fishes. Bewitched by the beauty of the Truffula Tree tufts, he greedily chops them down to produce and mass-market knitted Thneeds. As the trees disappear and the animals leave, a moustachioed and cantankerous critter called the Lorax warns the Once-ler not to mess with Mother Nature. But will his words of wisdom take effect?
Finn Caldwell worked with Gyre & Gimble Associate Artist Nick Barnes to transform Dr. Seuss’s iconic illustrations into a cast of singing and dancing puppets. The production blended theatrical invention, songs and zany humour in a timely and vibrant show with a message for grandparents, parents and children alike.
